On the heels of the shocking story that the big headed, muscled out, steroid injected, 45 year old Barry Bonds has tested positive for steroids, the perennially angry Stephen A. Smith was once again asked his opinion on ESPN about race. Yawn. Stephen A. thinks Barry cheated then lied to a grand jury over 20 times because of race. Obviously racist prosecutors and overtly racist chemists injected poor Barry and made him gigantic.
Some of his most hilarious claims were: Nobody went after Mark McGuire because of race. Marion Jones was disgraced because of race. “Others” accused of steroids were not “railroaded” because of this issue. I assume he meant Palmeiro and Giambi. If memory serves Palmeiro was suspended and Giambi (when asked) came clean. Smith did save the best for last when he claimed that the media and MLB were responsible for Bonds’ steroid use by turning a blind eye.
Bonds has done nothing but deny and now he is left with the legacy that he created. He’s been hated in every clubhouse he’s been a part of. He was the reason Jeff Kent wasn’t the biggest jerk on the Giants. He also was the recipient of a solid left hook during a bench clearing fight. A bench clearing fight among teammates on his own bench. Nice jab, Kent!
So, move over Kellen Winslow Sr. When you said on national TV that you wanted your son to play for a black head coach in college and was upset when he went to Miami over Mich St (who had a black head coach at the time) and said that you “would not tolerate” your son having a white agent representing him in his negotiations with the Browns, we all thought you were a lock forever. But looks like you have been nudged out of your top spot. Don’t take this laying down, Winslow. Talk up how you don’t care much for Indian tech support reps and Jews. There’s time.

The thing that interests me most I guess is this…do they now finally have enough evidence to tear him down? Do they now, finally, have enough evidence to make him look like a fool in front of the world? If not, then this thing could get ugly and I mean real ugly. Not paparazzi ugly, I think this could get race crime ugly.
I completely agree with Mr. Steven A. Smith. White America only wants to tarnish the image of this ubiquitously beloved man because they don’t want one of the most prestigous records in sports to be held by an African-American.

What? The FullBug’s stat dept reports that Aaron is black! I’ve seen pictures but I didn’t want to assume anything. So, the Bug will stick to the story. S.A. Smith still appears to be a racist idiot.
You look like the racist. Smith is a sports writer with a real job not just some half assed sports fan with a blog.
Speaking on behalf of African-Americans, I feel safe in saying that that the black community would rather be represented by a black man who understands the plight and the difficulties of growing up black in America and overcoming the bigotry and the oppressive forces that worked against him to go on and become one of the greatest athletes in history. Not represented by some Uncle Tom who never knew what hard times were all about. Thank you, Barry Bonds.
Why don’t others say this? I just roll my eyes when he says crap like this. He always gets a pass. Nice to finally see someone with a set actually point out that racist comments are racist comments no matter who they come from.

What makes you consider Hank Aaron “some Uncle Tom”? Aaron wasn’t Jack Johnson or anything, but then again I would say most pre-Ali black athletes had a similar disposition. Is there anything specific about Aaron as opposed to other elite players from that era like Willie Mays or Bob Gibson that would justify your description?
What about your man Roger or Mark? You keep writing about Bonds but these two guys are long over due for jail jump suits. Steven A speak the truth and most people don’t want to here the truth! Get a life dude.
My man? That uh, well… Uh. You seem somewhat stupid. I heard an amazingly racist comment from Smith. I hear that from him a lot. So, I wrote a post about it. The truth?! Well, here’s some more truth. Smith is a racist. If I could stand his NY bias and constant NBA blah, blah, blah… I’d listen to him more and point out more examples. Since I hate the NBA and don’t care for Smith’s specific brand of racism, I suppose I’ll have to just wait for you to tell me that a roided out cheater is a victim of racism.
BTW, genius, Clemens isn’t in the league and can’t get a job because all indications are the he is a cheating piece of crap like Bonds. I’ve got to go now. I’m going to count all the times S A S says The Rocket was only using the juice because of white racism. Something tells me it’s going to be an early night.
